We start each prospective client engagement with a face-to-face meeting in the client’s home to understand the situation, environment, the client’s needs and expectations. Many other organizations simply assign the next available person and ask that they show up at a specified time.
After the initial consultation, we determine what we believe would be the best Caregiver/Client match, and appropriately prepare and coach the Caregiver to ensure a good fit. We then set-up an in-home introduction with the client (and often the client’s family) prior to committing the Caregiver. The purpose of the introduction is to be sure that the Caregiver and client are a good match and to give each person the chance to become comfortable with one another.
